Professional Biography

Ashley Johnson is an Associate Integrated Wealth Advisor at Carlson Capital Management. As part of the Advisory Team, Ashley collaborates with clients and advisors across the firm on all aspects of planning and portfolio management. She is responsible for facilitating client meetings, preparing presentation materials and assisting with portfolio management. In addition, Ashley is responsible for a strong working knowledge of and leveraging of firm technology to best serve clients.

For nearly 10 years, Ashley has worked in the financial services industry, most recently serving clients at large, national wealth management firms. In this work, she supported integrated wealth management experiences that include retirement planning, trust and estate planning, tax planning, insurance analysis, charitable giving, and investment activities. Her professional experience also includes serving as a Fiduciary Advisory Specialist where she gained experience working with multiple generations and beneficiaries of legacy trusts.

Ashley is a graduate of Luther College, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in business management. She holds a Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP) designation, the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA^®) designation, and an Investment Foundations Certificate from the CFA Institute.

Ashley enjoys volunteering for Women Build, a program of the Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. She grew up in Decorah, Iowa, and now lives in Burnsville, Minnesota, with her husband Dan, and their son.

Personal Thoughts

I attribute much of my success to my upbringing in a small town in Iowa and the values my family instilled in me from a young age. My 85-year-old grandfather is the longest serving mayor in Iowa, recently retiring after 50+ years in public service as a city council member and mayor of his town. He is truly an inspiration and has modeled for me the reward that comes from working hard.

Beginning from a young age, I have held different jobs in customer service, so I know what it takes to make people feel completely satisfied. Working with clients who have complex needs often involves taking the extra time to understand and analyze their goals in order to provide the best advice and planning. I take a lot of pride in my work and won’t hesitate to go above and beyond to ensure my clients are taken care of.
