Personal Thoughts
“Give back to the community” is a lesson my parents taught me at a young age. Even as a child, community service and volunteer work were important to me. As I grew, I wanted to continue to help others in any way I could. In elementary school, I started doing yearly trash clean up in my neighborhood; in middle school and high school, I dedicated two weeks every summer to volunteer around the state from daycare work to packaging meals at Feed My Starving Children. And in college, I worked with faculty and students to create an informational podcast aimed at giving college students a better understanding of their personal finances. Now as a graduate and colleague at CCM, I hope to help clients and colleagues alike and continue to give back to my community in any way I can.
“To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived—that is to have succeeded.”- Ralph Waldo Emerson
