Michael Paulson is a Business Analyst at Carlson Capital Management. In this role, Mike works proactively to seek out new opportunities to assist functional areas in planning more effectively, maximizing information, determining process effectiveness, defining best practices, and identifying high-impact activities. He also conducts system customization, revisions, implementation and analysis. Mike is responsible for a strong working knowledge of and leveraging of firm technology to best serve clients.
Mike graduated from the University of Wisconsin, La-Crosse where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting and was a dean’s list student. During college, Mike gained experience in financial services as a stockbroker intern. He was also a member of the student Financial Management Association and participated in intramural sports. Prior to assuming the Business Analyst role at CCM, Mike worked as a Paraplanner, and as part of CCM's Investment Team where he gained a strong working knowledge of the firm's investment approach and was a key participant in proactive management of client portfolios. Mike has always had a strong interest in chess, and coached an elementary chess team as a high school student. Mike grew up in Eagan, Minnesota and now resides in South Minneapolis with his wife, Katie.
