Michael Paulson is a Paraplanner at Carlson Capital Management. In this role, Mike works closely with the firm’s wealth advisors, collaborating throughout the planning process to deliver comprehensive financial plans to clients. He is responsible for collecting, tracking and monitoring related data, preparing presentation materials and assisting with portfolio management. Mike also facilitates client-advisor communications and works proactively to monitor and complete client-related servicing activities. In addition he is responsible for a strong working knowledge of and leveraging of firm technology to best serve clients.
Mike graduated from the University of Wisconsin, La-Crosse where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting and was a dean’s list student. During college, Mike gained experience in financial services as a stockbroker intern. He was also a member of the student Financial Management Association and participated in intramural sports. Prior to his Paraplanner role at CCM, Mike worked as part of CCM's Investment Team where he gained a strong working knowledge of the firm's investment approach and was a key participant in proactive management of client portfolios. Mike has always had a strong interest in chess, and coached an elementary chess team as a high school student. Mike grew up in Eagan, Minnesota and now resides in South Minneapolis with his wife, Katie.
