As Colleague/Team Support Specialist, Sue Rossi’s responsibilities at Carlson Capital Management include providing direct support to Principal Jeff Carlson, and acting as a project manager for firm initiatives, and for offerings such as CCM Institutional Client Services. Her goal is to achieve successful and sustained alignment of colleague activities, effective communication, accomplishment of team goals and effective deployment of resources.
Sue comes to CCM with more than twenty years of experience providing marketing and communication solutions in the financial services industry, including retail mutual funds, regulatory entities and higher education providers. Prior to joining Carlson Capital Management, Sue was Director of Client Relations Services for the Office of the Treasurer of the University of California (UC). In this role, she was responsible for developing internal and external communication strategies, maintaining consistent messaging and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders throughout the University system. In previous roles, Sue served as an advertising analyst for the Investment Companies Regulation Department of the National Association of Securities Dealers Regulation, Inc. (now FINRA) based in Washington, D.C. Sue also served as a Vice President of Thornburg Investment Management in Santa Fe, New Mexico, as National Accounts Manager and as Manager of Research Communication.
Sue grew up in Rochester, Minnesota and graduated from St. Olaf College with a degree in American Studies. While she has lived and worked throughout the country, she has always considered herself a Minnesotan at heart and is pleased to have returned to put down roots in the historic Lowertown district of St. Paul. Sue has a daughter and twin sons and spends her free time curling and exploring Minnesota’s back roads.
